SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. — The University of San Francisco women's tennis team fell to Utah State, 5-2 after the Aggies came from behind to collect five-straight wins in singles competition, on Tuesday afternoon at the Olympic Club.
San Francisco (6-5) was perfect in doubles play, when all three pairs came out victorious to clinch the doubles point.
Emily Maxfield at No. 2 was the only Don to dominate her opponent in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2, giving the Dons a 2-0 advantage. Maxfield has been unstoppable at the No. 2 spot all season as she is now keeping her streak alive at 10-0.
