SAN FRANCISCO – Visiting Loyola Marymount got a pair of quick goals at the beginning of each half that proved to be more than enough, as LMU defeated USF 3-0 on Sunday afternoon at Negoesco Stadium.
Loyola Marymount (6-3-3, 1-1-0 WCC) scored in the sixth minute of the first half when Melissa Lewis corralled her own shot and beat to her left inside the box to go up 1-0.
In the second half before the fans had settled back into their seats, LMU scored on a corner-kick 49 second into the period to go up 2-0 when Shelby Cormier took the pass from Maddie Medved and beat the Dons' keeper on a header.
