BROOKLINE, Mass. -- The University of San Francisco women's soccer team put pressure on host Northeastern in overtime, but ultimately couldn't find the back of the net. Unfortunately for the Dons (5-3) the host Huskies (3-4) came away with the game-winner in the 109th minute, for a 2-1 victory in the second overtime.
"Very, very difficult game for us today. Northeastern is a very good team," said head coach Jim Millinder. "Our kids battled hard. We started off slow but we got a good goal from Samantha Jehnings. It was hot and humid, we had our chances to win at the end of regulation and in overtime, but that's how soccer goes.
