SAMMAMISH, Wash. – The University of San Francisco Women's Golf sits in fourth place after finishing the opening day of the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitation plus-17, with a team score of 593, at Sahalee Country Club.
The Dons were led by sophomore Samantha Gong who finished the day tied for third after posting a two-round score of one-under, 143. She opened the tournament with a one-under 71. She followed that up shooting an even par 72 in the second round.
USF had two other players finish the opening day in the top-15. Senior Emily Laskin is currently tied for 11th after posting a two-round score of 147, going three over.
