SAN MATEO, Calif. – The West Coast Conference officially announced their Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 26.
Eric Waltz, a junior goalkeeper for the Dons, was selected as this week's winner as the San Jose native has now earned the honor twice this season.
Continuing his stellar season in the cage, Waltz delivered two more dominant performances for the Dons this week.
On Thursday, Sept. 22, the keeper logged three saves in USF's 2-1 victory at Sacramento State, which included making the game-winning save with 14 seconds remaining in regulation.
