SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The USF baseball team had a pair of honorees earn a spot on the 2016 West Coast Conference All-Academic team in senior right-hander Anthony Shew and redshirt junior outfielder Blake Valley.
Shew earned his first all-academic nod after posting a perfect 4.0 GPA during the most recent term and a 3.82 cumulative GPA as a business major. On the mound, Shew was the Dons' Friday starter, going 4-4 with a team-best 3.49 GPA in WCC games this year, while registering 50 strikeouts in 56.2 innings.
Valley also took home his first WCC All-Academic recognition by posting a 3.
