SAN FRANCISCO – The San Francisco women's tennis team outlasted the Drexel Dragons to earn the 4-3 victory at The Olympic Club on Tuesday afternoon.

The Dons and Dragons were locked in a competitive match from the outset, with the visitors from Philadelphia nabbing the first point of the match on the doubles courts. Then, the top two women in the singles lineup eased to straight set victories to give USF the advantage on the day. First, Emily Maxfield downed Kendra Bunch, 6-2, 6-3, on Court 2 and then No. 1 player Genevieve McCloskey felled Honami Yazawa, 6-0, 6-4, on the Dons' home court.
