NEW ORLEANS — Both the University of San Francisco men's and women's track teams, as well as five individual student-athletes, received USTFCCCA All-Academic Honors Monday when the organization announced its annual academic recognitions. The awards cap a school year in which both cross country programs also earned USTFCCCA All-Academic distinction in February.
The USF men (3.49 cumulative Grade Point Average) and USF women (3.29 GPA) were among 366 NCAA Division I programs across the country named All-Academic by the USTFCCCA. The men posted the fifth-highest GPA out of 139 men's programs honored. The two Dons programs piggybacked on their cross country all-academic team awards from the fall to make it a clean sweep in 2018-19, head coach Pat McCurry's first at the helm.
