SEATTLE — Looking for a spot in the 2019 NCAA Indoor National Championships, the San Francisco track team took a big leap Friday, with the distance medley team running the fastest time in USF history on the first day of the 2019 Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Indoor Track and Field Championships at the University of Washington's Dempsey Indoor facility.
The distance medley team of Dana Klein, Samantha Lind, Alena Ulrichova and Megan Davies set a USF record with a time of 11 minutes, 28.64 seconds. They were only four-thousandths of a second behind Oregon State, finishing fourth in their heat and ninth overall in the event.
