One of college basketball's most storied programs, USF has won two NCAA Championships (1955 and '56), one National Invitation Tournament title (1949, 15 regular season conference championships and one WCC Tournament title (1998). A total of 36 USF players have been selected in the NBA Draft, including nine first round selections. USF players and coaches have combined to capture 31 NBA Championships, the most among any team in NCAA history. Former players Bill Russell, K.C. Jones, Jim Brovelli and Fred Scolari have spent time as NBA head coaches. USF is represented in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame by players Bill Russell and K.
