SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Beginning another weekend series on their home diamond, the USF Dons baseball team (14-23, 5-14) came up short in a close game dropping Friday afternoon's game against the Saint Mary's Gaels by a 4-2 final score.

- Friday afternoon's game featured a tremendous pitcher's duel as both teams were held scoreless until the bottom of the fifth when USF broke the tie.
- Stepping up to the plate with two out and nobody on base, Harris Williams III came through with a big home run to right center field that put the Dons ahead 1-0 heading into the sixth.
