SEATTLE, Wash. -- As the long cross country regular season has come and gone, the USF Dons men's and women's cross country programs were in action Friday morning at the 2022 NCAA Cross Country West Regionals at Chambers Creek Regional Park.
The beginning of postseason action began with USF competing against the other teams in the West region at Friday morning's event hosted by the University of Washington. USF's women's team competed in the 7,000 meter run while the Dons' men were in action racing in the 10,000 meter run.
It was a strong afternoon performance for the USF women as they came in eighth place overall on Friday, with Ruby Smee finishing sixth overall and automatically qualifying for next Saturday's NCAA Championships in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
