RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Wrapping up their stretch on the road in Southern California, the University of San Francisco men's soccer team (1-5-0) was unable to rally back against UC Riverside (5-2-0) on Sunday evening, falling to the Highlanders, 3-1.

- In the opening minutes of the match, UC Riverside would take an early 2-0 advantage as Roberto Garcia-Vargas scored twice off of assists- first at 4:15 followed by a second strike at 12:56.
- Less than one minute later, the Dons responded by cutting their deficit in half on a goal from Gabriel Bracken Serra at the 13:57 mark.
