SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Elle Papahronis, leading the University of San Francisco women's basketball team in scoring in two games last week, has been named Credit Union 1 West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week, announced by the league Monday morning.
In games against Portland State and San Diego State, Papahronis averaged 13.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, and two assists on 40 percent shooting off the bench. Papahronis reached double figures for the first time in her second career game, with 12 points on 50 percent (three-for-six) shooting from the field in the win over Portland State on Tuesday, Nov.
