SAN FRANCISCO — The first West Coast Conference match of the season was a complete dominating offensive effort by the University of San Francisco men's soccer team, taking down San Diego, 2-1, on Sunday afternoon at Negoesco Stadium.
San Francisco (3-7-1) got off to a strong start, when freshman Ashish Chattha scored the Dons first goal of the match that led San Diego (4-6-1) 1-0 at the fifth minute. A couple of seconds before Chattha struck the ball into the backend of the net, Jorge Ruiz found his way inside the box and attempted a shot that bounced off of the goalkeeper as the ball made its way right in front of Chattha's foot for the wide open shot.
