SAN FRANCISCO – With a young core of four underclassmen, the University of San Francisco men's golf team had an incredible year as the Dons won a pair of tournaments, and advanced to the NCAA Regional for the first time in five years.
"We sat down in August and we talked about our goals for the year," said head coach Jack Kennedy. "We wanted to make sure we had opportunities to be successful. I never really wanted to put results or numbers as goals, our goals this year were to have two opportunities with a chance to win with nine holes to go as a team and three opportunities to win individual tournaments with nine holes to go.
