CORVALLIS, Ore. – With darkness putting an end to the day before the second round could be completed, the University of San Francisco men's golf team finished the opening day of the Oregon State Invitational in second. The Dons shot a 1-over 285 with 18 holes official, three players finished the first round in the top-15. Leading USF after 18 holes was sophomore .
"Today was a good for us," said head coach . "We found a nice groove early and were able to ride some momentum the rest of the day. 36 hole days are as much about a mental grind as anything else and I felt our patience was key to our success.
