SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The West Coast Conference officially announced on Monday afternoon that junior Marissa Vasquez has been named the WCC Offensive Player of the Week following her two-goal performance in USF's 2-0 shutout over Saint Mary's on Saturday, Sept. 30.
Breaking out in a big way this week, Marissa Vasquez recorded her third career brace in San Francisco's 2-0 shutout of Saint Mary's on Saturday, Sept. 30. Beginning the scoring in the 19th minute, Vasquez passed to Ellie Weissenberg off a corner kick before Weissenberg delivered it back to Vasquez, who then used the perfect touch with her right foot to put it past the Saint Mary's keeper and give the Dons a 1-0 lead.
