SANTA CLARA, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (12-12, 2-1 WCC) secured its first West Coast Conference series victory Sunday afternoon, defeating Santa Clara (9-11, 1-2 WCC) 5-3 at Stephen Schott Stadium.

- After failing to score despite threatening in the first two frames, San Francisco jumped ahead in the top of the third, gaining a 1-0 advantage. Kody Watanabe scored the go-ahead run, rounding the bases on a TJ Rogers two-out RBI double to left center field.
- The Dons added to their lead in the following frame as Matteo Bellisimo connected on a solo home run to right field, pushing the margin to 2-0.
