MORAGA, Calif. – Trailing 17 points at the intermission, the University of San Francisco men's basketball team made it a game with a brilliant second-half performance, led by the stellar play of Frankie Ferrari and Charles Minlend, both of whom tallied career-highs with 22 points apiece.
USF (17-5, 5-3 WCC) shot well as a team, shooting 52.4 percent from the field (33-for-63) and were 10-for-21 from long range. Unfortunately for the Dons, Saint Mary's (14-9, 5-3 WCC) was just a little better, connecting on 55.7 percent of their attempts from the field, going 34-for-61 from the floor.
