SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco baseball team (3-2) erased a late deficit to win the opening game of its four-game set, defeating Central Michigan (1-4) 3-2 Friday afternoon at Benedetti Diamond.

- Following two scoreless innings to begin the game, Central Michigan jumped ahead in the top of the third inning. A lead-off double from Rees Campanale set the tone in the frame as he later scored on a Zach Knowlton base hit through the right side of the infield, giving the Chippewas a 1-0 advantage.
