SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- On a cold, and windy day in the Bay Area the USF Dons baseball team (7-4) shook off a slow start to defeat the St John's Red Storm (1-9) 8-3 for the second time in as many days to take the first two games of the four game series.
The Dons used a four-run bottom of the fourth to take the lead and control of the game as and combined to throw eight strong innings and slammed the door in the ninth as USF picked up their sixth win on their home diamond. Infielder had a strong game at the plate going 3-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored as the Dons' offense once again had a productive afternoon in the batter's box.
