SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- With the introduction of the transfer portal to college athletics, the ways programs can go about building rosters has changed and evolved. With more movement than ever before of athletes between schools coaching staffs are relying on past relationships and familiarity in terms of finding impact players.
The USF Dons men's basketball program has been no stranger to the portal this season, as they brought in three new starters this season with Yauhen Massalski from San Diego and Gabe Stefanini and Patrick Tapé from Columiba to help USF to a 23-8 overall record this year.
