SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Meeting for the second time in three days, the USF Dons women's basketball team (7-10, 1-4) and Santa Clara Broncos (8-5, 2-1) battled until the final minute of the game with the hometown Dons coming away with the 67-60 victory on Monday night.
Amalie Langer had two huge buckets late in the fourth quarter to extend USF's lead and delight the crowd at War Memorial at the Sobrato Center. The Dons defense held tough throughout making life difficult on the Broncos offense by limiting them to 33% shooting from the field and forcing 18 turnovers.
