SAN MATEO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference announced this morning that USF forward Claudia Langarita was selected as the WCC Freshman of the Week after her impressive showing to end non-conference play.
Langarita and the Dons went on the road to take on two undefeated teams as the freshman from Barcelona preceded to set new career-highs in points back-to-back games, totaling 14 against Colorado before posting 17 points against Tulsa in the win. In both games last week, Claudia averaged 15.5 points per game on an outstanding 67 percent shooting from the field, while playing an average of 21.
