SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Returning to their home diamond for the first of four games this week, the USF Dons baseball team (14-23, 5-13) just dropped a hard-fought slug fest on Wednesday afternoon by a 14-9 final score to the Fresno State Bulldogs (21-19, 11-10) at Benedetti Diamond.

- Fresno State got off to a fast start as they plated a run in the top of the first to take an early lead on the Hilltop.
- USF was able to answer in the bottom of the second as Mattie Thomas pulled an opposite field single and came around to score on Patrick Keighran's RBI single to even the score at one apiece.
