SAN BRUNO, Calif. – The University of San Francisco's earned Rawlings West Coast Conference Player of the Week honors, announced by the conference office today.
Helland hit an impressive .600 over four games, helping the Dons to a win over Oregon and a series win over conference foe, San Diego. Helland highlighted his week going 4-for-7 in USF's two wins over the Toreros, while driving in two RBIs. In the final game of the series, he registered three of the Dons' five total hits in the loss to USD.
By reaching base safely in all four games this past week, Helland has now improved his on-base streak to 25-games, while currently on a 12-game hit streak.
