WICHITA, Kan. — University of San Francisco baseball senior catcher Robert Emery has been named to the Buster Posey Award Watch List for the second year in a row, an award given to the top NCAA Division I catcher in the nation, as announced by the Greater Wichita Sports Commission on Monday.
Emery is the Dons' leading hitter this season, batting .373 and slugging .525. He enters this week riding a 12-game hitting streak that includes six multi-hit games, two doubles, two home runs and nine RBIs. He's also been perfect defensively behind the plate without an error in 56 chances.
