SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- The West Coast Conference announced on Monday morning that USF freshman libero Abby Wadas was named the WCC's Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week following her tremendous week on the road as the Dons earned an impressive road sweep over LMU and Pepperdine.
Wadas, a native of McKinney, Texas has been a bright spot for USF in their resurgent season and last week in Los Angeles was no different. Beginning her week against the Lions, Wadas led the way by recording team-highs with 13 digs and three service aces to help the Dons defeat LMU in four sets last Thursday.
