WR DeAndre Smelter to 49ers: Full Draft-Pick Breakdown

General manager Trent Baalke accomplished two things during the late stages of Round 4 of the 2015 NFL draft. He drafted the team's first wide receiver and also selected the first player of the All-ACL team.

The pick: Georgia Tech wideout DeAndre Smelter.

Smelter is recovering from an ACL injury suffered last November, per CBS Sports. But Baalke has shown a willingness to take risks on prospects with such injuries before. Last year, the 49ers drafted offensive guard Brandon Thomas and cornerback Keith Reaser and subsequently redshirted them for their rookie seasons.

The 49ers could do the same with Smelter in 2015.
