On Friday reports came out that Wisconsin cornerback Nick Nelson tore his meniscus. A terrible time for knee injuries, but the good news is, he could be back by training camp.
Nelson was considered a decent enough cornerback prospect in the 2018 NFL Draft. After his combine, he had a projection to go in the third, fourth round at the latest. With his knee injury, it probably may push him back.
The first thing that came to mind when the news hit, was me almost forgetting that former San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke wasn’t in charge.
