The San Francisco 49ers made 35 moves over the course of Friday and Saturday to cut down to 53 players, and several of them involved adding players to their injured reserve list. The two most recent additions to the 49ers IR are cornerbacks Will Redmond and Prince Charles Iworah.
The 49ers used a waived/injured designation on both of them. They were not claimed by anybody, which means they revert to the 49ers IR. We don’t know the nature of their injuries, but if they are not technically season-ending injuries, the team could negotiate an injury settlement with one or both of them.
