SANTA CLARA -- Trent Baalke was responding to a question about his predilection for drafting injured players last week when he paused while seemingly trying to recall one of those player's names.
The reporters gathered around him quickly filled in the gap.
"Marcus Lattimore?" one said.
"Tank Carradine?" another suggested.
"Brandon Thomas?" someone offered.
"Keith Reaser?" said another.
"No, no, no," the 49ers general manager said with a chuckle. "I know who we drafted. I’m surprised you know."
He shouldn't be surprised.
Rehabilitating players have become a signature of his drafts.
