The San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks couldn’t have asked for an “easier” opening five games.
The Niners faced two divisional opponents, Nathaniel Hackett, arguably the worst offensive line in the NFL, and the Minnesota Vikings. They should be 4-1.
Instead, for the seventh time in the last ten seasons, the 49ers have started with a losing record through the first six games. The good news is Shanahan’s bunch has won their previous six games and is 8-1 when playing with a losing record, aka “their backs against the wall,” much like the situation calls for tonight.
