SANTA CLARA — Here are the top things we’ve learned so far Friday at 49ers headquarters ahead of Monday’s visit by the Seattle Seahawks, with more updates coming after locker-room access:
HERE, KITTLE, KITTLE?
Tight end George Kittle remained out for a third straight practice, casting further doubt on his availability Monday to play through knee and ankle injuries.
If Kittle misses only his second game in 2 1/2 seasons, Ross Dwelley figures to take on a bigger role, after catching a career-high four receptions for 29 yards last week at Arizona. Dwelley has started the past four games as the 49ers have opened in a double tight end formation
Garrett Celek is an emerging option to rejoin the tight end group, perhaps sooner than expected.
