The 49ers opened up practice to the media for the second time during OTAs and we got another glimpse of what the team is working on during the offseason. They had their usual 11-on-11 sessions, individual drills, and learning sessions. Something new this week was a drill with five coaches or assistants acting as receivers working against five members of the secondary and one linebacker and...Kyle Shanahan standing in at quarterback. He had decent release and pretty good zip on the ball but his passes were broken up a few times. Unfortunately, he grabbed at his hamstring after one of the later plays, so he may not be a full participant at the next practice open to the media.
