Colin Kaepernick’s 2016 debut against the Buffalo Bills was going well up until the third quarter on Sunday.
The San Francisco 49ers failed to gain any offensive momentum and were stopped for no gain on a critical 4th-and-1 from the 40-yard line with 4:35 left in the third quarter.
The Bills went on rattle off three consecutive touchdowns to win by a convincing, 29-point margin at Ralph Wilson Stadium. San Francisco’s 45-16 loss puts them at 1-5 on the season. It’s also the franchise’s first five-game slide since 2010.
