On Day 9 of training camp, the San Francisco 49ers practiced arduously. They usually go 12 periods, but Saturday’s practice was 13, and instead of the usual 12-minute period, it was 23 minutes of moving the ball.
The expectation was that the team would ramp up the physicality after a laid-back session on Friday. That question was answered before any team periods began, as No. 97 and No. 23 were back, fully padded.
We listed Chris Conley as a winner yesterday. As he fills in for Brandon Aiyuk, he looks like the clear WR2 at this point.
