An emotional Nick Bosa was at a loss for words when he learned the San Francisco 49ers would be taking him with the second overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The 49ers tweeted two videos of "the call," where general manager John Lynch, head coach Kyle Shanahan, owner Jed York and defensive coordinator Robert Saleh informed Bosa he would be playing in Santa Clara this upcoming season.
"Hey Nick, you ready to do this thing, buddy?" Lynch asked his new pass rusher over the phone. "Let's do it man, welcome to the family, buddy."
