When speaking to the media on Thursday, Vernon Davis gave a positive prognosis on the knee injury that’s kept him out of the team’s last two contests.
“I’m doing really well,” Davis said. “I had a good day of practice yesterday. It went really good. I had a chance to explode off the ball and get back to myself. I’m looking forward to this week.”
The San Francisco 49ers tight end was officially listed as limited in Wednesday’s practice and and had the same designation on Thursday.
Jim Tomsula and San Francisco's training staff opted to keep Davis back at the team facility last weekend rather than fly him with the team to New York.
