ORLANDO, Fla. – The 2016 season hasn't been fruitful for the San Francisco 49ers, but it's been a positive experience for Vance McDonald's development.
The fourth-year tight end leads the team in yards per reception (17.4), touchdown catches (4), receiving yards per game (42.4) and receptions of 20 or more yards (6).
McDonald also produced the team's longest play from scrimmage – a 75-yard touchdown catch against the Carolina Panthers in Week 2.
McDonald, who is scheduled to be a free agent at the end of the season, hasn't put much thought on his pending future.
