The 49ers received good news Friday afternoon as Trent Williams returned from an ankle injury. Williams hadn’t practiced all week. Williams returning is a good sign for the star left tackles status Sunday against the Bears.
Trey Lace was on-hand during the stretching portion of practice. Kyle Shanahan spoke about Lance’s injury Friday morning on KNBR, saying, “I think he will be” when asked if the rookie would be available.
Dee Ford (concussion), Samson Ebukam (ankle), or Azeez Al-Shaair (concussion) were all absent at the start of today’s practice, per the beat reporters on-hand. The 49ers' depth continues to take a hit.
