The 10th-year veteran didn’t demand the big-money deal with significant guarantees before Saturday’s trade to the 49ers for a 2020 fifth-round pick and a third rounder from 2021 was fully executed.
49ers general manager John Lynch said Saturday that both sides were content to slow play the prospect of a new deal.
