As most San Francisco 49ers fans already know, Jarryd Hayne wasn’t the typical rookie in 2015.
The running back made his NFL debut at the age of 27 after successfully completing a remarkable and well-documented transition from Australian rugby league to American football.
But even though Hayne is a few years older than his fellow rookies from last season, general manager Trent Baalke still expects to see substantial improvement in the Aussie as a “sophomore” in 2016.
"I think this offseason will be huge," Baalke said in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald.
