Torrey Smith is no longer a member of the San Francisco 49ers, but I came across a story I thought was pretty cool and worth sharing. Torrey Smith and his wife Chanel are involved in a variety of charitable endeavors. And sometimes they’re just fun to read about, so I like to share them.
One charity he does extensive work with is Baltimore Animal Rescue & Care Shelter (BARCS). He has a Bowling for BARCS event in late May, but this weekend, he had another event with them. On top of raising money for them, at the end of the night, he and his wife covered the adoption fees for all 46 animals that were involved in the event.
