SANTA CLARA -- Coach Jim Tomsula said he feels good about the inside linebackers on the 49ers' roster and suggested there’s no immediate plan to sign veteran free-agent Lance Briggs.
NaVorro Bowman has made a strong return to the practice field after missing all of last season with a severe knee injury he sustained in the NFC Championship in January 2014.
Since the beginning of the team’s offseason program, Bowman has been able to do everything, though there have been times when he’s been given rests, Tomsula said.
“Bowman’s looking great,” Tomsula said on Friday. “Bow looks great.
