SANTA CLARA — Tight end George Kittle’s ankle injury will not keep him out of the 49ers’ rainy practice today, coach Kyle Shanahan announced.
Soreness from Saturday’s playoff opener kept Kittle out of Wednesday’s practice as the 49ers began on-field preparations for Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Green Bay Packers.

“Knew he had wear and tear before the game, and he was a little sore before practice so that’s why we held him out,” Shanahan said.
Kittle is expected to play as the 49ers (14-3) pursue their first Super Bowl berth in seven years and first Lombardi Trophy in 25 years.
