Colin Kaepernick now has the distinction of having two murals in the Bay Area.
The 49ers quarterback — alternately loved or hated for his national anthem protest — was recently painted on the side of a building at 15th and Mission in San Francisco. One of the building's tenants commissioned the tribute, which shows Kaepernick kneeling in front of the San Francisco skyline.
Oakland was the first to pay homage to Kap's protest against police brutality and race inequality in America. In September, a mural of his face with the words 'We got your back' was painted on a wall at 22nd and Telegraph.
