The 49ers rookie class has been forced to step up and have already exceeded expectations

When it comes to some of the most talented teams in the NFL, rookies can find it tough to carve out a meaningful role, which is why the San Francisco 49ers often look towards the future when identifying players in the draft.

However, near the midpoint mark of the season, San Francisco could be thrusting nearly their entire rookie class into some meaningful role when they face the Dallas Cowboys here in Week 8 on Sunday night.

It started initially with third-round pick Dominick Puni, who earned a starting spot at right guard following a broken hand injury for Spencer Burford early in training camp.
