For the past 20 years, the San Francisco 49ers have had an inexplicable aversion to selecting a true cornerback in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft. But as experts finalize their mock drafts with less than two weeks to go until this year’s draft in Chicago, it looks like that streak could finally end.
This particular drought most recently resurfaced earlier this month, when Sam Hoppen of Fantasy Pros posted a graphic on social media that showed the last year each team in the NFL drafted a player of a certain position.
